Fish and Chicks is the official name fer our Derby, and will be inscribed on all winning fishing poles.

I have added the poll.  I have allowed more than one response to be voted for, which we might need since they's SO MANY GOOD ONES!

The poll is set to end on the 27th.  That will give us time t' do what needs doing before Fish n' Chicks.

 I think a tar and featherin' is a just pun-ishment.

I suggest "Chicken 'o the Pond". Because the sea is too far from the Shire.

Chickens also need to remember that the Early Bird Catches the Worm, before it gets used for fishing.  "Early Bird Worm Drowning Contest".

I know it's not about fishing, but at some point we need a Fryers Club Roast.

I like Genny's idea of Fin and Feather Fish tournament as that was mine first before she stole it.

Other names could be

Wedmaths Eggcellent Fishing Tournament -- The winner could be The Eggcellent Fisher

Wedmaths Fish Poaching Tournament-- The winner could be called Wedmaths Poacher of Fish. I'm mainly going for the poached egg type of poaching. However, the bad type of poaching would fit just as well. I don't want the people of the Shire to think the Bounders are up to unlawful activities.

I will try to keep thinking. But I agree with Daff that sometime by the end of the week or so we should take some of the choices at least and make a poll.

ok here is my terrible suggestions for the pot...

how about Fishing for Chicken? or Chicken Fishing? or Chicks a' Fishing?'

I like the name, 'Congratulations to Gennyrose for winning the fishing tournament during the Month of the Chicken' night.  But that might be a bit too long.

What about something like 'Feathers and Scales.'  Or 'Scales and Feathers'.  Or 'Fins and Feathers'.  Or 'Wings and water'. 

Oh, if we ever do a fishing/story night, we could name it 'Scales and Tales.'

Or really, 'Fish and Chicks' is pretty darn good, too.

Goodness.  I'm really bad at this game.  I hope others come up with something better then I did!

This Wedmath (August) is the Month of the Chicken. The 5th of Wedmath is Fish and Chicks night. That night there will be a Fishing Tournament. Some of us were hoping some clever folk could help us come up with a name for the tournament. We are hoping that we can make some fishing rods as prizes named after this event as well. So if any of you could reply to this message with your name ideas that would be great. Then we will vote on them in a poll.
