re: Plans for the Bounder Museum of Antiquities

The Museum will always be open to the public. Open Tours will be announced. Private shows will be by appointment only.

Featured Artist and Benefactors are required to submit a summary of the piece and ownership to the Curator. For the purpose of items History can be told as well as returned with appreciation letters when items are rotated out.

There are 5 rooms in the Museum. The entrance way, decoration will be semi-permanent. The room with the chest will become the office for the Museum and will be where items can be stored before displayed. The main room, will be set aside for seasonal shows and their displays – this will be changed out every 3 months and be the main presentation of the museum. The small room will be the feature rooms, if the main presentation doesn’t require this room it will be used as a separate display or a history of past deeds. The back room can also have items from the main show – this room is the story telling room. This is where those can gather to listen or tell of their past deeds. The lawn can also be used for the show and will be available based on need.

Wanted

1. Seasonal Shows – The next show will start September 23rd. If any single, group, fellowship, Kindred – want to set up a show at the Museum please contact the Head Curator Gaffy Luckyfoot for more information and he will give you a date when your show will be displayed.

2. Curators – We need those who want to run tours through the Museum, Do Security, Decorators, Explorers, and Story Tellers. (This is not for your main - it should certainly be an alt and probably the grandparent of your main. There are no requirements for Race, Class, or level) For more information and to join please contact the Head Curator, Gaffy Luckyfoot.

3. Current Benefactors and Item owners – I do not know who owns what items. I will announce when the bound items will be returned but if you know who owns any of the non-bound items, please contact Gaffy Luckyfoot otherwise these items will become property of the Museum and be stored or sold based on the museums need.

Schedule

The fall is short notice for the next show, I will give those interested until the 23rd of July to contact me, otherwise I will display a hobbit show for the fall, The Winter show (starting December 21th) deadline is September 23rd. Everything will be announced as it becomes known, feel free to spread the word.

Curators will meet once a month – the date and time will depend on the active curator’s schedule, we will discuss plans, ideas, and tell stories. We could do a little adventuring or help one another with goals if needed. Those who need help or want to give assistance with creating a story are welcome – things are always better with friends. So take your shoes off, light a candle, and have fun above all else.

re: Plans for the Bounder Museum of Antiquities

Gaffy and I discussed the possibilities of  a clothings  show,  at the museum, where I'd bring over  certain elements of my collection ( so folks could  borrow a copy  in their wardrobe or outfit slots )  Perhaps even a few folks modellin em to /spin  whilst  someone gives a  talk about whats bein worn!

Now, with my work schedule changes taking place on 25th,  it means I'll permanently have a 2am shift (  depending on the days,   they'd be 3 to 5 hour days  maybe a few longer ones )  This means after my mornin nap, most o' my days  and afternoons would be open.

and I'd of course have  a later  Friday and Saturday night open as well ( well I already did have that hehe  )  My  time zone is Pacific, and I am planning on  trying to get to sleep about 8pm most nights,   but a  schedule like this might not be ideal for  other folk.

So I may have to 'Recruit volunteers" ( hehe )  to help with any  clothing shows! :)

I have 180 items  which are not bound( minus about 15 to 20 that are now bind on aquire ) in the kin chest at my kinship, those items can be  put in outfit slots or in wardrobe, which helps for the free to play folk what don't have wardrobe space,  and  also I have around 100  Bind on Equip items in my own vault,  which  with those items you can put them in your wardrobe, but not in yout outfit slot unless  they've been wardrobed.

My thoughts are that we might do a few of these museum events ( I don't need to be present, just drop of the items ahead of time ) and do them in a theme.

Maybe one day it could be backpacks and cloaks,  and another  full outfits,  and another  boots and gloves and shoulder pads,  and another hats and masks,  and another with just dresses.

Lots of options,

perhaps  folks could say what sorta things they'd like to see!  I most likely got them.

Perhaps other folks might wanna "host" an outfit to share same time,  so  on and so forth!

Let me know what your thoughts are.

re: Hoppa's Outfitting Show

as per our discussions this will need to happen on a weekend - depending on how quickly we can get the advertising, models, and a practice run done for the show, I'm thinking either the 2nd or 3rd weekend in September. Saturday will Be Outfits with Boots and Shoulder to finish. Sunday will be Hats and Mask with Cloaks and Backpacks to finish.

Also depending on the weather in the homestead we could do an outside show for those sunny days and inside in case of rain. So now we just need to get volunteers, put a firm date on it and have a great show.

Also looking for feedback for a name and welcoming all suggestions, as well as what folks would like to see. Thank you all for your time and consideration.

I can help with something. I'm sure you need volunteers for just about anything. [Scheduling would depend on my Class/Work schedule but I should be able to find some time to help out]

I can help with the modeling of the clothes.  [I also have other races if you want a mix of tall folk and short folk modeling.]

re: Models and Outfits

I'm still waiting on a clothing/outfit list from Hoppa - so we can theme the fall fashions and have some semblance of order. For older outfits or the bound ones - we might be requesting models to already have some pieces in their Wardrobe. That being said, if there is a special outfit that any of our models would like to show off - either it be very rare, have personal meaning, or looks crazy - I'm sure that Hoppa wouldn't mind adding it to the show. Also, this is about being comfortable so all races and classes are welcome. If you are using multiple characters as models, please let me know so I don't book these characters to appear at the same time on the runway.

Though I wanted Hoppa to MC the event, I'll be taking over this duty, because I'm a bit absent minded I would need to have a sentence or two about the outfits the models are wearing. If the outfit carries some special meaning, I would certainly want to convey that to the audience.

Who can be a model? Everyone can strut their stuff on the Runway and probably will be asked to show off multiple outfit - Though Hoppa has over 130 outfits to show off, I don't believe we will have enough time or enough models to get to them all. I would like to keep the show moving and fun with the possibility of doing multiple shows instead of trying to get to everything in a single event.

Who can be a designer? Everyone, yes we are calling this Hoppa's show, but everyone is welcome to bring their own. I would love to see outfits from LOTRO's first year, as well those that have special meaning, and are unique. you can post your ideas and what you want to show off here or private message me if the outfit is a surprise.

Above all and the only agenda is to have fun. I don't expect things to go off without a hitch and I would never want this to have a rigid well rehearsed military vibe to it. The only purpose in my mind is so we have a good time, nothing else for this event matters.

I want to express my gratitude beforehand to everyone that will make this event special and unique in its own right. It's a huge learning process for me as this will be the first event that I have organized. With that said I already can't thank everyone enough for their offers to help. Thank you so much, I know it doesn't properly express my feelings, but it will have to do for now.

Sincerely,

Gaffy Luckyfoot

re: Plans for the Bounder Museum of Antiquities

Well, I have 180 ( minus about 15 now bind to account on acquire ) outfit items in the kin house,   these are standard non Bound.

I have about 120 or so armour pieces,  which are something you can put in your wardrobe without ever needing to equip them.

some of the better looks are from armour pieces,  or ones that would bind on equip.

So here is my thought,

I could take in the museum chest and re-label some drawers  "Outfit 1 "  Outfit 2 "  Outfit 3"  etc.   Set each outfit in there,  That way folks could do a borrow of them to wardrobe or out in outfit slot after the Show.

I know most folks are aware by know how outfits work,  so most will understand that they cannot wear an outfit directly,  or that they should never wear one that is bind on equip.  But it would not hurt to put in the banter of the outfit shown something about  its wear-ability.   Specially in regards to binds.

I was thinking that perhaps "Bounder Uniforms" Through out History and the Shire might  be a fun topic.

The basic "Bounders of Addernotch"  Uniform. <img src="data:image/jpeg;base64,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

I was thinking that perhaps "Bounder Uniforms" Through out History and the Shire might  be a fun topic.

The basic "Bounders of Addernotch"  Uniform.

The old style "Bounders Uniform  Tobblin used to wear. ( Alphred's current look )

The old Style " Bounders of South Farthing" Uniform (s).

and / or

The old style "Bounders of North Farthing" Uniform.  ( Border Patrol )

The old style "Bounders of the Marish" Uniform.

The old style "Bounders of the Delvings" Uniform.

The Proposed "Ayrhawk's Militia" Uniform ( in which we'd see a future of militant Bounders if Ayrhawk would have become chief *chuckles* )

Perhaps also;

The Lyonardo

The Gennyrose  ( no screenshot available, hehe )

The Daffodillia ( no screenshot available, hehe )

*chuckles*

Anyways those are some of my thoughts,

many of these are wardrobe only,   the ones i have under South Farthing are non bound ones.

Half the components  of many are non bound.

((  I may edit this with more screenshots  later   I came up with some errors  with a few screenshots and just removed them rather than  fiddling with it now ))

Those are magnificent outfits! Well done! They should be interesting to model.

re: A Bounder's Stich In Time

I love it. Instead of using the chest, we make sure that each model has the outfit they are going to wear already in their wardrobe.

If you can make it, after the show we can invite people to try on outfits or add them to their wardrobe.

Though I don't think anyone has sticky fingers, some might be absent-minded and either bind your outfits to themselves or keep them.

The last thing I want to happen is seeing some of your valuable treasures go missing or be taken because of a mistake.

As for the show itself, I'll still volunteer to MC and if we can set up a raid channel for the models (unless we have more than 11 models)

I can announce and describe the model and their outfits history while they strut their stuff on the stage - if the model wants to say anything or even do something funny they are more than welcome to do it.

I would like to avoid as many mishaps as possible, while still having a fun filled event. After all the outfits are presented, we can have everyone come out for a Q&A with the audience.

So there are plenty of Spots left for Models and designers - we have just narrowed it down to Bounder outfits through the ages, this is not exclusive to only hobbits or any specific class.

This sound wonderful.

If the show is on at a time I can make it I will gladly help out in some way. We'll just have to make sure the bounder clothes I'm to model - if that's what I end up doing - are long enough!

I volunteer t' usherette.  It's something I'm experienced with, ya know.

re: Practice and the event

Thank you Hoppa, Molee, Gennyrose, Ruthelia, and Daffodilia - you are currently the models. there is certainly room for more.

being a Tailor, I can help with the outfit taking in or letting out - a lot in Ruthelia's case. But I certainly think we can accommodate you. Due to certain time constraints - Hoppa might not be able to join us for the event, and even some of the practice.

So, I would like Hoppa and the designer(s) to think of who should wear what from now until we will do a practice run (September 12th - 8pm bwt) , the main event (September 13th - 3pm bwt).

I would like to keep each model to 3 outfits changes but we do not need to hold fast to that limit (it's just to keep things from getting confusing). Those who will be doing do a quick alt change feel free to have me add them in as need be.

Hoppa (if there will be introduced first)

Molee - Outfit?

Gennyrose - Outfit?

Ruthelia - Outfit?

Daffodilia - Outfit?

{repeat 2 more times}

Models come out wearing their favorite and then Q&A with audience.

this gives us room for strutting and emoting and basically showing off the outfit, while I describe it, where it comes from, it's rarity or uniqueness and maybe even a joke or 2.

I know I'm not supposed t' correct my elders, but I did not sign up t' be a model.  *points upwards* Usherette.  World 'a difference.
