re: Wassail Canceled

Due to lack of interest (only 3 bands total, and GHMS was reluctant), unsettled music system status, and my own disgust at the music community in how they responded the changes, I'm canceling the Wassail.

The . . . attitudes . . . towards the music change and rollback . . . actually confused me. I am sorry for that. There truly are irreconcilable differences on matters that are of great personal importance to different individuals . . . and no way to make everybody happy.

Still, what matters most is getting together with friends.

And so Kestryl will decorate the Oak for Wasselling as per usual. And Chief Meadowlarke will be show up at 9:00 PM or somewhat before at the very least. And hope to hear some music.

re: Wassail Canceled

The Wassail was announced to quite a large crowd last night at the GHMS concert, and I know it has been announced other places as well.  I spoke with Carndan this morning, and GHMS is still very much wanting to play for it.  Carndan has also spoken with the Warders and with P.I.E in recent days, and they are both still signed on to play.  However this all ends up, I'm sure we can all get together on Fryday for some music and good times.

Even if it is just three bands, I am fine with still playing it.

Even if it is just Warders standing in Rytori's yard in Whitwich as we've done for years I am fine with that  :)

The Wassail will go on!  *smiles*

Fali I am very sorry you aren't feeling up for it, I do understand getting disenchanted on the music system  stuffs.

But,  I am going to continue on, as planned.

Don't let the nay sayers get you down.

Music will all work out eventually, I have faith that Turbine will get it under control, and with the new instruments and changes.

I don't wanna cancel Christmas, or the Wassail.

It's that folks who I thought were more.. even handed being downright nasty and abusive to players who disagree with them, and screaming invective at Turbine for finally giving music attention. Sure, it wasn't perfect, but it was something we COULD have worked with. Meh. Best I sit it out rather than try and play nice with some of the folks.

Well, you're family, Falibrand . . . more so than most. It'd be a sadness not to have you there. But I don't want you to feel obligated . . . . just welcomed.
